We’re Michaela and Gabriel — a husband and wife team starting a new chapter with our small family business: Messy Nest Co. 

Based in Ottawa, Illinois, we specialize in custom woodworking and one-of-a-kind pieces made with care, creativity, and a whole lot of sawdust. From cutting boards and chess boards to serving trays, coasters, cake stands, and epoxy work — we make functional art for everyday life.

 We work with a mix of locally sourced and exotic hardwoods to create beautiful, food-safe products that are built to last. Every piece is unique and handcrafted in our home shop.
